Readlink uses KookiOk to show the cookie consent banner, block non-essential cookies and trackers until you choose, and keep a record of your consent choices.

What cookies we use

• Essential cookies: required for the Service to function (authentication via Clerk, session management, security, and KookiOk consent storage such as ag_consent). These are always active because the Service cannot operate without them.
• Strictly Necessary referral cookies: set only when you open a referral link at readlink.app/r/. readlink_vid is a random referral visitor ID, and readlink_ref_code is the referral/discount code. We use both to carry the referral discount through checkout. Each lasts 30 days. They are not used for advertising and are not shared with ad networks. We treat them as Strictly Necessary referral cookies.
• Analytics cookies: when activated, used to understand how the Service is used (current or future providers may include PostHog and Google Analytics). These are only set after you give consent through the KookiOk cookie banner.
• Functionality cookies: used to remember preferences (e.g., theme, language). Set only after consent where required by law.

Consent

Where required by the EU ePrivacy Directive, Swiss data protection law, or other applicable rules, we request your consent before setting any non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time through the KookiOk cookie banner, or use Cookie settings in the site footer.

If you decline non-essential cookies, the Service will still work; some features and our ability to improve the Service will be limited.
