Readlink in Claude, ChatGPT and Grok

Connect Readlink to the AI assistant you already use and let it look after your library: add a stack of books in one message, log your pages, tidy your shelves, or turn your highlights into notes.

Free accounts get 20 actions a day. Premium is unlimited. Compare plans

Set it up

Claude

claude.ai, the Claude desktop app and the Claude mobile app

  1. Open Settings (Customize on some plans), then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Readlink and paste the connector URL below.
  4. Press Connect, then sign in to Readlink and approve access.

Claude's free plan allows one custom connector. We have applied for a listing in Claude's connector directory; until then, add it as a custom connector.

ChatGPT

chatgpt.com and the ChatGPT apps

  1. Open Settings, then Apps (called Plugins on some accounts).
  2. Under Advanced, turn on developer mode if it is off.
  3. Create a new app or custom MCP server and paste the connector URL below.
  4. Sign in to Readlink and approve access.

Custom MCP servers depend on your ChatGPT plan: they are available on Business, Enterprise and Edu, and may vary on other plans. A listing in the ChatGPT app directory is on the way.

Grok

grok.com

  1. Open Connectors.
  2. Choose New connector, then Custom.
  3. Paste the connector URL below.
  4. Sign in to Readlink and approve access.

On Grok Business and Enterprise, an admin may need to add the connector for your team first.

Free and Premium

The connector works on every Readlink account. Free accounts get 20 actions a day across all connected assistants, which covers a quick check-in or a handful of updates. Readlink Premium removes the daily limit, so your assistant can reorganise a whole library in one go.

Privacy

Nothing is shared until you add the connector and approve access. When you ask your assistant to do something, the data needed for that request goes to the assistant you connected, and that provider handles it under its own privacy policy. We never sell your data, and you can disconnect at any time. The details are in our Privacy Policy.

Questions

How many actions do I get?

Every Readlink account can use the connector. Free accounts get 20 actions a day across all connected assistants; one action is one thing the assistant does in Readlink, like adding a book or reading your shelves. Readlink Premium removes the daily limit. The allowance resets at 00:00 UTC, and you can ask your assistant how many Readlink actions you have left.

What happens when I run out?

The assistant tells you the daily limit is reached and when it resets. Everything keeps working in the Readlink app as usual, and upgrading to Premium lifts the limit straight away.

Does the assistant see my password?

No. You sign in on Readlink's own sign-in screen and approve access. The assistant gets a token for your account, never your password.

Will it post things without asking?

The only connector action that is visible to other readers is a rating or review, which appears on your feed like it does in the app. Assistants are told to confirm these with you first.

How do I disconnect?

Remove the Readlink connector in your assistant's settings. Access ends straight away.
